Have
Friends Will Travel
Our travel club, is a non profit making enterprise run by Tony Smith
for the benefit of Circle members and their wives - and when space
permits others from Circles nearby. The inaugural event, in December
2002, was a visit to Graz in Austria, for the Advent festivities.
A full account of this visit is available by clicking onto Graz
on the left hand side of this page.

Quick
Decisions Are Essential
Being able to travel to interesting destinations at sensible prices
is now possible since the advent of cheap flights with airlines
such as Easyjet, Ryanair, Buzz, British Midland, etc. To benefit
from the best fares and to join a group Brothers must, on receipt
of a proposal react very quickly, preferably the same or next day.
If there is sufficient response then Tony Smith will telephone those
interested to reconfirm and will immediately book the flights whilst
the prices are still low. If, between emailing and booking flights
the fare has increased significantly then either the trip will be
aborted, or those interested initially will be re-contacted for
a decision. Anyone joining a group after the initial purchase of
flight tickets will be surcharged the difference. It is normally
possible to join a group after the initial notification, please
note though that the flight cost will probably have increased.

Costs
and Payments
Every effort will be made to adhere to the budgeted costs advised
initially. A deposit will be required once air fares have been paid,
this payment will commit participants to, at least, the cost of
the flights. After the event a copy of the final account will be
sent by email to the group. Seven days later the amount due will
be charged to Brother's Circle accounts. A copy of the final account,
with support documentation, will be sent to Bro Treasurer with any
explanations required provided.

Travel
Insurance
It is the responsibility of all Brothers to ensure that they are
suitably covered against accident and injury, loss or theft of belongings
etc. Single trip policies are available but annual cover is the
most cost effective.

European
Law and the Travel Organiser
Tony Smith is not a travel agent, nor does he derive any profit
or privileges as organiser of 163 Travel Club events. However, European
Law does not differentiate between someone organising for friends
or doing so as a business, the law therefore holds him responsible
for anything that might go wrong. Unless, that is,all the participants
sign a disclaimer. Everyone traveling will be required to sign this
disclaimer. It will be held on file for all future 163 Travel Club
events.
